I'm back, fishes!
As many of you know, I moved to NYC back in August of 2014. I accepted a great job offer, sold or gave away everything I had in less than a month (including my darling furry daughter, my poodle Zoe), left a relationship that ended and all my friends, packed my favorite looks and took off for the City of Dreams.
That was one year and 4 months ago.
Since then, I've moved apartments 5 times, chopped off my hair (big mistake), had a horrible year long fight with acne for the first time in my life, broken one finger (due to landlord negligence), gotten lost on the subways maybe 14 times broken out in hives due to stress in the workplace, and had my first official NYC heartbreak due to me meeting someone I thought was "The One," but to him, I was "One of the Many."
It's true what they say: If you can make it here, you can make it anywhere.
Of late, I have heavily considered moving back to Miami and finding healing in the life I knew so well. Not only for the trials listed above, but for a few other undisclosed reasons as well.
But I am not a quitter, and I haven't even given this city a chance! New York City is the hub of fashion and art: two of my favorite things. You have to have "Chutzpah" to make it here, and fight to the top.
One of my New Year's resolutions is to devote myself to discovering NYC and falling in love with this magical place. And what better way to do so other than shopping and styling?
I'm saying "goodbye" to 2015 and all of its doubts, failures and disappointments, and saying "hello" to 2016 and all if its potential and promise.
This is the beginning of a beautiful journey, and I want to share it with you.
So, stay tuned! Amazing details and adventures to follow.
